The Aspect No One is Talking About
….but it is DEFINITELY shaping the landscape, personally and collectively.
Since about mid March into April, I have been seeing in the chart daily one single overarching theme that I have yet to see any astrologer address: The Yod to the South Node in Virgo.
The Yod is actually a Hebrew term indicating ‘the finger of God’; it acts like an arrow that is basically like ‘hey, look over here.’ It’s a fairly common aspect; I know a lot of people have them, and the more planetary bodies involved in study there are definitely more opportunities to get super nano and often can have two or three in the chart.
How I treat the yod is how I treat any other pattern in the sky, whether numerical or by aspect: it’s a clue to how to handle the situation. I have a deep belief that God speaks to us in all ways that we can hear, and it’s up to us to give it the weight needed in order to interpret it honestly.
It’s been this way for a minute, and not only that, the planets at the feet of the yod are some power packed transpersonal planets: Neptune, Saturn, and Pluto. In air and fire signs, too, which is akin to someone hitting the crosswalk button 20 times in an effort to make it free to cross; you are READY to move. Big ideas spark bold action and courage to stand in where you want to be or reach for it, at the very least. We are feeling big energy where it counts to do the new.
Yet, as I mentioned in the previous post, the water signs are STILL holding the bag right now. We STILL have to pause to feel into it, to surrender, not forge into the new with gusto. We are STILL building the foundation, and will be for at least a few more months; you can’t build the new without declaring where your feeling foundation should be/will be/is. And that’s what this aspect is all about.
The nodes are pointing to the South Node, Ketu, in Virgo at 5 degrees. Virgo is the sign of process; it is the sign of making the method work for you in the moment, perfection and steadfastness in the practice and less of the majesty of performance. With the south node being here, this represents the winds of change being in the Virgo/Pisces access tunnel: we need to let go of the old method, even if it has always worked for you (south node in Virgo) in order to embrace a new and restful way that is better right now (north node in Pisces).
What is happening is that Neptune, Saturn and Pluto are directly engaging with each other in a harmonious way pushing us to get off of the couch, but we aren’t getting off of the couch to realize our dreams…..hardly. We are recognizing that the way we have always done life is ready for an upgrade in order to take your hands OFF, not engage more to keep the fingers clutching tightly to the steering wheel, which can feel counterintuitive.
Whatever is being manifested this Taurus season is also asking that you do so by remaining in the headspace that your thoughts need to be supportive for this ‘letting go’; to not fight it. Use Aries energy to reinvent the life you want by reformatting how you think about rest, surrender and trust (Uranus in Gemini at zero: the door is open) and more importantly, your relationship to your own God-self. That is what the North Node in Pisces is asking for; are you ready to think the way about yourself the way that God does? Are you willing to embrace your power by not throwing it around to save face, but instead, to reformat the life you have to reflect the inner you? 5 Pisces is sacred thinking, which sounds ironic at best, right…how can thoughts be holy…? Right! My question to you: HOW CAN THEY?
My guess would be that it is not rooted in guilt and shame over not being perfect. Organizing situations to avoid negative thoughts about the self. Looking at yourself like you are less than in any human way. You are way more than that; you are a piece of Creator. Star stuff. Let’s make those thoughts reflect that.
Pluto is a 5 Aquarius, making a direct quincunx; Saturn is at 10 and Neptune is at 3 Aries, also making the same quincunx (with a 5 and 2 degree orb, respectively). The inconjunct or quincunx is actually one of my favorite aspects in astrology. The reason why is actually because we are learning to juggle and it does not feel right, and that is more than ok. Keep in mind that frustration is actually a huge source of energy as well, and that’s what this is: it’s meant to piss you off, grumble, fight with yourself even….because you know once you finally make the right choice and keep all three balls in the air for the first time there is a huge sense of achievement there that creates that road paved with gold. You changed and saw yourself change, and that is incredibly powerful as it is all an inside job.
Pluto just went retrograde a couple of days ago; he’s descending into more deeply these thought processes, for at least until October of this year. He’s going to be showing you where your thinking needs to be transformed around how you belong, and how you think you need to be in order to belong. Take this yod to the south node opportunity to give yourself permission to wholly accept how God sees the beautiful energetic being that you are, not what is not showing up in the physical. We are being gifted the opportunity to switch perspectives to one that maybe we have always wanted, or start to slough off the criticism of the outside world, or shield the self from outside negativity. Remember that who we are now is what will be; embrace all of it to welcome co-Creator more of a space at the table and to recognize how powerful you and your thoughts really are. 5 Aquarius IS 5D….you manifest from your thoughts….may they create peace and love for everybody. :)
