A Love Letter to Jupiter

For all of the ignition this planetary party in Aries may be bringing, I want to give a shout out to the biggest planet in our solar system….

Jupiter.

I have a good friend that calls the Jupiter influence Santa Claus, and I agree. There is a reason that Christmas season is Sagittarius season. It is the season of perpetual hope, celebration and getting together. Wishes coming true, hard work getting the good reward. The Christmas Miracle, whether it’s receiving a gift you hoped you would get, the final goal in overtime, the last slice of cake.

Now Jupiter is not always a beneficial planet; I also have known many interpreters to say that it is ALWAYS a good time, even if by stressful aspect. I would clarify that by saying there are no hard edges in a Jupiter transit, hence why it cannot be ‘bad’; it just bleeds. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, and that means waistlines and debt too. Yet, even though there are no hard edges with a Jupiter transit, it does feel like the cup is always full. With Jupiter currently in the sign of Cancer and moving into Leo, there is a definite feeling of ‘it’s gonna be ok’ even when it looks from the surface that it is not.

Cancer is the sign of the big feels; the sign of foundation, the sign upon which the ground needs to feel firm in order to support your growth. If there is wounding here (Chiron, Pluto, Black Moon Lilith) it can feel as though you will NEVER be supported, or worse, if you had a major challenges in early life, then it is crippling when attempting to build security due to leaning towards that feeling of never being supported as a FACT. We then lose sight that maybe it’s just a feeling that we attempt to make a fact, since it happens ‘all the time’ (karma).

Right now, I just want to publicly acknowledge this transit as being healing for so many things right now. Making peace with how we feel in these uncertain times and knowing that what we feel and where we feel it is where we are and what is going on. Never doubt the super human ability to KNOW thyself, and feelings are such a huge part of who we are that we create FROM that space.

When Jupiter was retrograde in Capricorn season (early this year; late December to end of January) ALOT came up. So much so I saw a friend of mine start up a Youtube Live sesh for her base of subscribers to say ‘all that is going on here is recognizing WHO you are in the face of what you think you can’t handle’. How accurate. We sailed through it, although with a great amount of fear and a great amount of trepidation, and came out clean on the other side to internalize that. Even having a Mercury retrograde in Pisces to rest and recuperate from that, process that, and to know where to build in the future.

Were we in the right place? Were we giving effort to too many things that didn’t matter? Were we afraid of things that we needed to go through in order to realize they weren’t that big at all? Were we released from obligations that we were so sure were so important?

Well, I wanna thank Jupiter as my coach so far this year. He’s allowing me to question WHY I feel the way I do, meanwhile smoothing things out in the feelings by making them louder. Since his residence in Cancer (end of June 2025) things blew up and receded, like waves on the shore, but this time I was clear about what feelings I was feeding the situation due to the fact that I tend to think about my feelings all of the time. The why is extremely helpful when you aren’t sure about what you are building, and even more so when questioning what your character is (Saturn, Neptune, Chiron currently in Aries). Every time that moon changes signs, Jupiter swells the signal. People are more angry, more bored, more sad….but again, it is telling you all that you need to know.
Recognize that is Jupiter giving the green light for taking that into account into your choices for future plans…into living a more authentic life to you so that the whole world can go to hell instead of living in fear of what it may do.

SO THANK YOU, JUPITER. More than you know for this one. I think this is keeping our heads above water in a world that is working SO HARD to keep your attention on them. Jupiter is reminding us that the most valuable thing you have is your attention. There are millions of people that are fighting for it everyday, so put it somewhere that counts; your feelings will let you know.

Water signs are still holding the bag here. I know it’s fire fire fire right now, but we are still being asked to sit in our own water element and clean that up. Jupiter is here to help with that, and the North Node in Pisces is asking for your surrender to what is actually coming up. A Full Moon in Scorpio today gives even a beautiful water trine to allow that flow possible by getting to the bottom of what is holding you back. While there is a temptation to be/do/have the next chapter, there is only one way to go…..within.

Jupiter will be in Cancer until July of 2026, when he slips into Leo. If feelings have been getting a workout, then the fun should be coming directly afterwards. Just keep in mind that whatever you are choosing to not feel/deal with during this time will not get addressed. Jupiter’s good vibes will move on, and karma still is karma. I have had at least 2 or 3 really good stories of major Jupiter good luck in a transit only to come crashing down after the shift. It’s not something to build on, like Saturn; it’s made for a more inquisitive and philosophical addressing of what’s happening in that sign/house for you uniquely. Luck can come from will in that space, but it can open the door to a much deeper understanding. One that Saturn can get behind, if the proper responsibility is taken.

…but that’s for another post. Thanks for reading the ramble, and huge thanks for the Jupiterian grace we are all afforded right now.
