Full Moon in Sagittarius 5/31
….but by the numbers. A mix of traditional and degree placements that explore Full Moon energy for the collective this weekend.
Full moon fever.
I love usually a good Sag moon. It’s a good time! It’s pumped up with optimism and in Gemini season, represents a good cookout, or the end of school, or a pool party…something that culminates your year of business.
This one, on a personal level, is big. I have kids wrapping up programs and my husband is celebrating 6 years of full time work by taking a sabbatical this summer. To say that this full moon is the ending of a lot of pressure is a great deal in our home; that also goes for the collective.
I am seeing it everywhere; cups being risen to fullness. Changes that happened over Pisces/Aries season are being dealt with by forging new pathways, exploring new options. Even more things coming out in the news, in local/regional areas, about changes or decisions being made by people in power. It is obvious that Neptune has moved into Aries at this point; even more obvious that the Sun is in Gemini.
I am feeling like this moon is the representation of changing what you know needs to be changed; like this is the finish line of what you have been cooking up over the winter and spring months…and it is time to see if it is something that you believe in or not.
Since I use the placement of the degrees for help in interpretation (as well as a host of other methods), this chart said WOW to me, and was worth a deeper dig.
First off, you have 3, yes, 3, outer planets changing degrees: Saturn and Neptune in Aries as well as Uranus in Gemini, all within 24 hours. Chiron moved to the most tested and final degree of Aries not even 24 hours prior to that. The moon also comes to fullness with the presence of Black Moon Lilith in the sign, which as a point of the moon, has some major significance. The ruler of Sag, Jupiter, is being conjuncted by Venus in Cancer (the sign of the moon), so it is opening the feelings up, no doubt. Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, at home opposite the Galactic Center and trining the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius point back in February. Saturn quincunx/inconjunct the Lunar Eclipse point in Virgo from March.
I know, and I haven’t gotten into the numbers yet….! That’s a lot to swallow for some interpretation just from aspects. No asteroids, really, just points that relate to the moon.
And with Venus and Jupiter cranking the mic on the moon here, that’s saying a lot.
The numbers themselves are alllllllllll Martian related for this one. It’s uncanny. The full moon is at the last few minutes of 9, the ego, the go, the angry, the motivation, the fuel. The degree separation between Venus and Jupiter is also 9 degrees in Cancer. The degree separation from Black Moon Lilith conjunction is also 9 degrees in Sag; add another and your hit the highest octave of 27 Sag, or the Galactic Center, which Mercury is opposite of at the time of fullness.
And Mars himself is at 9 Taurus, in semi-sextile, making a direct inconjunct to the Full Moon. Taurus and Sag relationship is tested at best, but can inform the other quite a bit, as Taurus can ground the flame in order to give it grace to take a new shape, as mutable fire likes to do; but it takes some juggling. Regardless, with so much Martian energy indicated, there is some grit here in the energy.
The sign of Aries is getting a massive reno wherever it is in your chart, with Chiron healing the final degree of the sign and Neptune and Saturn’s presence dominate in their own rights at the moment. It’s a trigger feast, nonetheless, and it is about healing that part of your character that needs to be healed. Go deep. We are asked to be responsible for how we move in the world now by considering the why with ourselves. Neptune is like an anchor in the back of the sign (and trining this Full Moon) by saying sense and lean on faith with what you are feeling to ride this wave of healing your character. Prepare to be disillusioned with your way of making yourself get off of the couch, but know it’s for the greatest good. The real cue is to grant yourself more grace, forgiveness. Rewrite the self talk to benefit you and not push you to hurt yourself.
So, lots of nuggets, but overall, what is being pulled out of this….?
Traditional astrology, just by aspect, would say that we are grounding this new experience in and really looking into the dark spots of why we act or don’t act according to that story (Gemini), what we know or don’t know versus what we feel. This is one where the slow work of knowing what it takes to feel through the fear and do it anyways gives the support to the new character in the world that you are determining you want to be.
The numbers are adding to this by saying that this is a time where the ego is getting a huge makeover. Chiron’s presence here for the past 8 years has been cleaning out why and what we are pushing for in our lives, communities, the world. Neptune and Saturn conjunct at 0 earlier this year forged a whole new chapter in the book of you and how you go in the world; now in separation they are forging their mission of truth and responsibility for it.
In short…this full moon asks what is making you go: your chaotic illusions about yourself, or are you going to feel into the truth and use the moment to heal your true self? If Gemini is the collection of data, then Sagittarius is what that data all means; where is the data pointing towards? What are you closing out because of it? And whatever it is, are you going to let it break you down on the inside or let it help you grow with loving care? Are you going to be afraid of doing something for you that you want to do that is supportive to you? Whatever ideas that you have are worthy, they are worth considering. It is worth acting on; just feel it out to determine what’s up. Jupiter and Venus both at net 5 in Cancer says they know what’s up. Your feelings know. If you knew something was off, something will come up to let you know how right you were.
The flip side of this moon is data reveal. You can know where you have been lying to yourself about something. Bad actors highlighting your actions to yourself coming to fullness. This all starts with yourself; always. I am appreciative that the next year of full moons are in the first decan; I can get triggered all I want and I know upon know about 99 percent of the time whenever I have started tracking these in my own life it leads me back to actions I take with myself. Where have I failed in my own story I wrote for myself? Where have I made myself grow with the way I have treated myself? Where can I support the belief in myself with my thoughts? How could this possibly rewrite my faith in myself and heal my character completely?
Now we are getting a chance to redo that. Whatever the failures or poor actions taken, now we can really move into space of treating our new selves with proper actions to support, not stifle, our growth. Traditional astrology says slow work but loads of inspiration come to those who feel it out. The numbers say it is imperative to work through those feelings to rewrite the new. Great day to get exercise, ground in nature before starting the day; this moon phase is still Taurus, after all. The plans will come to fullness to those who know it’s about them rewriting how they ‘do’ the world based on acting on good thoughts about ourselves and identifying with what is known. THEN you can manifest the dream.
